Checking spelling

First Page 2006 has a built-in spell-checker that allows you to quickly correct spelling mistakes.

To check spelling:

  1. Click on the Tools > Check Spelling... menu option, or press F7.

  2. For each potential spelling mistake, you can click on one of the following buttons:

    • Ignore - Ignore the highlighted text.

    • Ignore All - Ignore all instances of the highlighted text.

    • Change - Change the highlighted text. Enter the replacement text in the Replace With field or click on the suggested replacement text in the Suggestions area.

    • Change All - Change all instances of the highlighted text. Enter the replacement text in the Replace With field or click on the suggested replacement text in the Suggestions area.

    • Add - Add the highlighted text to the dictionary used by the spell-checker.

    • Auto-Correct - Always change the highlighted text and do not ask for feedback again. Enter the replacement text in the Replace With field or click on the suggested replacement text in the Suggestions area.

  3. Repeat the last step as many times as required.
